Online Instructor Requirements | Spring 2025

The requirements listed below must be met by students enrolled in online or hybrid courses:

  • Acquire course materials by the first day of class.
  • Have access to broadband or reliable internet service.
  • Log in to the first day of class, read and follow the Getting Started Instructions on the Home Page.
  • Complete the Student Canvas Orientation CRDW 1100 to become familiar with our Learning Management System, .
  • Must be able to upload/download/attach documents, open PowerPoint presentations, view/listen to video assignments, and complete quizzes/test(s).
  • Know how to access Grades and view instructor feedback on assignments.

MATH

MATH 1116 HC1 & HC2 – Beginning Algebra

Students must access this course on the first day of the semester.

Proctored Midterm and Final:

A proctored midterm and final are required for the course.

For your convenience, instructor proctored tests are scheduled. The Midterm is scheduled for Friday, February 28th. The Final is scheduled for Friday, May 2nd. Both will be at the Hillsboro campus. There is no cost for instructor proctored tests. The Midterm and Final are not multiple-choice question exams. They are pen and pencil exams where you must show your work.

You may decide to take your midterm and final at a certified testing center. Certified Testing Centers are usually found at a college or university near you.

If you decide to take your midterm or final at a Certified Testing Center, then indicate that when you answer your instructor's introductory email so that your instructor can help you with that process. There is generally a fee associated with certified testing center proctored tests.

Textbook:

Students need to purchase their textbook before the start of the course. Since the textbook is a customized printing, you may want to purchase the textbook through the bookstore. The adopted text is:

MATH 1135 HC1 & HC2 – Allied Health Math
