CCP Guidelines
Students enrolling in the program will be expected and required to perform at the same level as all regular students. CCP students are subject to the same policies and procedures, academic practices and grading standards as all other Southern State students.
The subject matter of a course enrolled in under the college credit plus program may include mature subject matter or materials, including those of a graphic, explicit, violent, or sexual nature, that will not be modified based upon college credit plus enrollee participation regardless of where course instruction occurs.
Students will receive high school graduation credit as well as college credit. Tuition, fees, textbooks, and materials are provided at public expense. All student record information will be shared with the student's home high school.
Students who do not complete a course (fail, withdraw or receive any non-completion grade) may be required to reimburse their school district the cost of the course that was not completed and the cost of the book. Please see your districts policy.
Students will be responsible for the payment of any course that they attempt to repeat that has already been passed successfully. Students may repeat a course that was previously failed or withdrawn from.
Parents of students under 18 years of age need to be aware that all Southern State computers have free, unfettered access to the internet. Southern State computers do not use any type of filtering software.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) applies to education records at all levels of education. At the point of becoming a Southern State student, FERPA rights become those of the student. Without written consent from the student, a dependent student’s information cannot be disclosed even to the parent. However, under the rules of College Credit Plus, the college reserves the right to communicate student record information with appropriate official(s) of the home high school. Information will not be released to parents without signed authorization from the student.
吃瓜不打烊 will assign all CCP students an academic advisor. Students should meet with their advisor prior to registration of each semester.
