- At the Nov. 12 meeting of the ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Board of Trustees, Fayette County Probate Court Judge David B. Bender presided over the swearing in of Bob McEwen whose appointment fills one of four vacancies on the college’s board.

This is the advice that Kelly Collison, Associate Director of Programming for Dress for Success Cincinnati, repeated to guests at Highland County’s first ever Dress for Success event held Thursday at the Highland County Training and Employment Center (Hi-TEC) in Hillsboro.
- Bob McEwen appointed as Southern State trustee
- Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich’s office has announced an appointment to the ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Board of Trustees. Hillsboro native Bob McEwen will serve for a term continuing through May 11, 2018.

- In its second game of the season, the ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ soccer team defeated Penn State University – Greater Allegheny Aug. 31 in a sudden death overtime thriller.

- Ladrach posthumously conferred title of ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Faculty Emeritus
- As a tribute to the legacy of the late Professor Samuel N. Ladrach, Ph.D., the ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Board of Trustees voted May 2 to confer upon him the title of Faculty Emeritus.
