- ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Theatre Company presents Joseph Kesselring's "Arsenic and Old Lace," playing Nov. 2-4 in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ's Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro. The Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; the Sunday matinee begins at 3:30 p.m.
September 2018
- Adams County Campus Project Put on Hold
- At its regular September 19 meeting, the Southern State Board of Trustees unanimously voted to reject all of the bids submitted by three construction firms to build the Adams County Campus. The lowest base bid submitted was $1.3 million over the advertised estimate of $3.25 million dollars. State law prohibits a state entity from entering into a contract on a project that exceeds its estimate by 10 percent or more.

- Area residents who passed the General Education Development (GED) test were honored recently at the 30th annual Adult Opportunity Center's Recognition Celebration at ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ's Central Campus in Hillsboro.

- WCH PD scholarship awarded to Trevor Phillips
- The Washington C.H. Police Department presented its annual scholarship to Trevor Phillips, a graduate of Washington High School and the son of Cathy Phillips.

- ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ awards Elks Scholarship to Madison Hatfield
- The Hillsboro Elks Lodge and the ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Foundation have announced Madison Hatfield as the 2018 recipient of the 2018 Hillsboro Elks Scholarship.
- Gov. Kasich completes ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ trustee appointments
- Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich's office has announced two new appointments and one reappointment to the ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Board of Trustees for terms continuing through May 11, 2024.

- The 10th annual Building Bridges education conference will be held July 24-27 at ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ's Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro.

- Adults who want to earn their GED, prep for college, or improve basic academic skills are invited to attend free classes through the Adult Opportunity Center (AOC) at ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ.

- Do you know kids who love science, technology, engineering, arts (design), and mathematics? Check out the S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camps offered in Hillsboro and Wilmington through a partnership between ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ and Southern Ohio Educational Service Center.
- ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ healthcare programs celebrate graduation
- Graduates of ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ's medical assisting and allied health programs were honored April 25 at a Graduate Tea. Graduates from the medical assisting, phlebotomy technician and billing and coding specialist programs attended.
- Auditions for ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Theatre's "Dead Man Walking" will be June 1-2
- ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Theatre will hold auditions for the summer production of "Dead Man Walking," a stage play based on the successful non-fiction book by Sister Helen Prejean and adapted screenplay by Tim Robbins.

- The ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Board of Trustees will meet beginning 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, and reconvening 9 a.m. Thursday, March 22, in the large conference room at the Ohio Association of Community Colleges offices, 175 S. Third St., Suite 560, Columbus. The meeting is open to the public.
- Breakfast with the Bunny on March 24 at ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Fayette
- Breakfast with the Bunny & Easter Egg Hunt will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, at ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ’s Fayette Campus, 1270 U.S. Route 62 SW, Washington C.H. The egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. and, in the case of inclement weather, can be held indoors.

- ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ is celebrating National Engineering Week with open house events on the college’s Central Campus. During the four days of open house events, the engineering lab will be open to the public from 12 noon to 2 p.m. for visitors to meet with engineering faculty, tour the labs, discuss engineering options, and enjoy snacks, games, and freebies.

- Gregory Lawson's flight plan changes last minute. Instead of traveling with a group, he finds out he is heading to Haiti alone.

- ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ's Russ Brewer Announces Retirement
- For the past decade, ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ has maintained a strong presence in Adams County through the ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Enterprise Center in Winchester. Now that plans are underway for the new ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Adams County Campus in West Union, the needs served by the Enterprise Center will transition to the future ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ campus.
